This nifty guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for using the Travel Money NZ Click & Collect service. Whether you’re prepping for a quick hop across the ditch or a long-haul adventure, ordering your foreign cash online with Travel Money NZ is a speedy and convenient way to sort your holiday spending money.
Keep reading to get your online order underway!
Step 1: Head to the online ordering portal
Start by visiting our online order page, where you’ll find the current online order rates for all the currencies available for click and collect.
Quick PSA: The rates shown on the online order calculator aren’t available in-store. As you can imagine, our online order system has fewer overhead costs, meaning we can provide a quick, convenient order service that can sometimes offer better rates than in-store.
Step 2: Select your currency and amount
Once you’re on the online order page, use our currency conversion calculator to find the current exchange rate for online ordering.
Here’s how it works:
- Choose your currency: select the currency you need (from over 60+ available!)
- Enter the amount: either enter how much NZD you want to spend or how much foreign currency you need.
- Check the limits: online orders have a limit of $9,999.99 NZD in a single transaction.
- Move to next step: Once you’re ready, click the green ‘Buy now’ button to be taken to the order form!

Step 3: Choose your collection store
After clicking the magic ‘Buy now’ green button, the online order cart will open.
On here, double-check you’ve selected the correct currency and amount you need before moving on to the next step of choosing your nearest store.
When selecting the store, you’ll see an estimated time of when the order will be ready to pick up in-store – this is typically within 1 hour!
Pro tip: if you’ve chosen one of the 11 most popular currencies (like USD, AUD, or GBP), these are covered by our In Stock Promise, meaning they are almost certainly ready for fast pickup.
Step 4: Enter your details and pay
After selecting your pickup store, you’ll need to enter your email address and personal details.
Please note: you will need to provide identification (such as a current driver's license) when picking up your order in-store. So, it’s SUPER important that the name you enter on the online order form matches your ID.
After adding your details, follow the prompts to complete your payment securely and keep an eye on your inbox for your confirmation email.
Step 5: Wait for the ‘ready’ notification!
The fun part! Travel Money NZ aims to have orders ready for collection in as little as 1 hour. The store will notify you once their team has counted, packed, and secured your cash!
So, sit back, relax, and have a snack while you wait.
Step 6: Collect the goods
Beep beep! Head to your chosen store to grab your online order. To ensure a smooth pickup, make sure you bring:
- Your order confirmation: (digital or printed).
